MonicA MEDELLIN is a director and producer born and raised in Los Angeles. With a background in documentary filmmaking, Monica focuses on stories related to diversity, identity and social justice. She’s currently a documentary producer at Define American, a media and culture organization named to Fast Company’s most innovative companies in the world for film and TV. She is currently promoting ‘Water warrior’, Her short film about Latina identity in surfing THAT premiered at the 16th Annual International Ocean Film Festival.

Her work has been featured on VICE, Conde Nast, The Huffington Post and at the Women’s March on Washington. When not behind the camera, you can find her surfing her local break, skating around the neighborhood or at live music event.



Karen MASUMOTO is a director and Emmy-nominated editor born and raised in Los Angeles. Continually pushing boundaries, Karen utilizes Virtual Reality to explore impactful storytelling through the combination of journalism and technology. Her films have covered international issues including the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti to environmental preservation in Vietnam. Through documentary film, she explores the human experience and focuses on ways to further connect our world. 

Working with companies SUCH AS Hulu, Google, and GoPro, she captureS human moments and hopes to ignite a fire within others to create change. Her work has been featured in Huffington Post, Vimeo Staff Pick of the Month, and TIME Magazine.



Hannah Wang combines her love for both business and action sports in the world of The Gnar Gnar Honeys. she got her first taste of adventure as a teenage skydiver. From there, her love of all things adventure exploded and led her to become a TV presenter on action sports show Rush TV. 

Hannah has worked as a photographer in the realms of documentary, portraiture and fashion, and her creative passions include graphic design. From the age of 23, Hannah has worked as an entrepreneur launching businesses such as AUST., an online destination and retail store on Abbot Kinney Blvd, along with her own clothing brand a.line. 



Ari Bre Bre is a filmmaker and visualist from Barcelona. SHE studied documentary photography at Central Saint Martins in London and attended film school in Barcelona and UCLA. Her goal is to evoke inspiration, CONSCIOUSNESS  and connection THROUGH visual poetry within documentary, commercial, experimental, and fashion GENRES. 

ARI’s WORK IS REPRESENTED BY CONTENT MUSE & SWOON NYC. HER muses include Jean-Luc Godard, Jorge Luis Borges, RenÉ Magritte and any female surfer & ocean creature.

Steph JOHNSON is an award-winning creative with nearly a decade of advertising experience workING on everything from music FILMS for the Grammy Awards to product launch campaigns for GoPro and Heineken. Her work has earned accolades from from Cannes, The Clios, D&AD, and the One Show.

She IS currently an Art Director FOR Gatorade, working with pro athletes like Serena Williams and leading the brand's initiative to keep girls in sports. She brings her passion for visual storytelling and big ideas to The Gnar Gnar Honeys, working with brands and collaborators throughout the creative process from ideation to execution.

Brie Lakin is a creative photographer born and raised in Southern California with an undergraduate degree in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. With a background in competitive action sports she uniquely highlights the synergy between athleticism, fashion, and femininity.

Her work with the Gnar Gnar Honeys has been a huge part of Brie’s photographic journey and has ignited a deep passion within to empower and inspire others through creating, connecting & collaborating.
